Winter Storm to Bring Rain, Wind to SoCal

The National Weather Service expects the storm to hit the region Tuesday.

A winter storm expected to arrive Tuesday in Southern California could bring strong winds, thunderstorms and snow to the region.

The National Weather Service warned that rain, wind and possibly hail could hit the region as a cold storm front arrives.

The inclement weather is expected to last through Wednesday and NWS predicts that scattered thunderstorms could produce small hail in addition to the 80 percent chance of rain forecast for Tuesday.

In the Westwood and Century City areas, a 30 percent chance of showers is forecast for Wednesday. Temperatures are forecast in the high 50s. The weather should clear up by Thursday, with clear skies and temperatures in the low 60s forecast through Sunday.
