UCLA Ties With USC in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Rivals UCLA and USC tied in 24th place in U.S. News & World Report's latest rankings of national universities. Other Southern California schools listed among the top performers were UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara, among others.

A blaze scorched about 90 acres in the Sepulveda Pass. The fire, which caused no injuries or structure damage, prompted evacuations in Bel Air and the Getty Center.

Westfield Century City to End Free Parking

The Westfield Century City mall has the green light to eliminate its three-hour free parking policy and start charging customers to use what is currently the only free parking structure in Century City. New charges could take effect in the fall of 2013.

Body Found by Hikers Confirmed as Missing UCLA Student

A body found by hikers in Pacific Palisades was identified as missing 22-year-old UCLA honors student David John Goeser. His body was found nearly two months after he went missing from his Westwood home.
