Pink Taco Tequila Dinner; Award for MC Hammer

1. Pink Taco in Century City tonight starting at 8:30 p.m. presents the Karma Tequila Dinner Pairing. This four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Raymond Alvarez, is paired with tequila cocktails and tastings. Karma's newest Reposado Tequila is still unavailable to the general public. Reservations are recommended.

2. The going out of business sale at Borders' Century City location is well under way with discounts up to 40 percent off. The store's liquidation is taking place over the next few weeks. Borders the closure of the store and hundreds of others across the country as part of the chain's bankruptcy proceedings.

3. Hip-hop legend and Twitter frequenter MC Hammer will be presented the Social Media Marketer of the Year Award at the third annual Gravity Summit -- a one-day social media marketing conference being held at UCLA today.

4. Also at UCLA, musician-composer Yuval Ron will present a demonstration of sacred Israeli music, tonight at 6 p.m. in the Schoenberg Hall Jan Popper Theater.
