Forecasters Predict Cool Temps, Patchy Fog on Halloween

Rain won't get in the way of your trick-or-treating plans this year.

National Weather Service forecasters are predicting cooler weather and patchy fog on Halloween night for the Westwood and Century City areas.

Highs were recorded Monday of 89 in Northridge and Woodland Hills; 88 in Pasadena; 86 in Burbank, Culver City and Van Nuys; 85 in Pomona and San Gabriel; 84 in downtown Los Angeles; and 83 at the Long Beach Airport and Getty Center.

A cool-down will continue through Saturday, when temperatures are expected to heat up again. There is no precipitation in the forecast.

Wednesday's forecast high is 70 degrees. The National Weather Service predicts patchy fog after 11 p.m. with a low of 55. A high of 67 is forecast on Thursday.
