Where Is the Cheapest Gas in Westwood and Century City?

We drove around to look for the best deals.

If you've noticed gas prices going up at about 20 cents in the past week you're not alone. So your humble correspondent braved the rain and spent precious fuel Friday afternoon driving around surveying how much it costs to fill up your tank in Westwood and Century City.

What we found: the most expensive gas was at the 76 station at Beverly Glen and Santa Monica Blvd. where regular unleaded was priced at $3.89 per gallon and premium over $4. The "cheapest" gas was a few blocks west on Santa Monica Blvd. at the Thrifty, where regular fuel was going for $3.63 per gallon.

We're going to continue our survey next week to see where prices are headed. Experts warn gas is headed towards $5 per gallon, so maybe we'll look back on these pics with nostalgia for the "good old days." Yikes!
