The Westwood CityTarget opens Wednesday at 7 a.m. A grand opening celebration is Sunday at 8 a.m.

"Westwood has been awesome," said Andy King, the store manager. "The community has been great to us. It's really cool be part of this community."

King said opening the store has been predictable and easy compared to what's ahead—the first weeks in business. This CityTarget was designed with Westwood's needs in mind, he said.

"Home [goods] are pretty difficult to find here in Westwood, electronics since we had , and we are geared up for the college kids coming in September," King said.

The address of CityTarget is 10861 Weyburn, at the Glendon T-intersection.

Made it down this morning. I was surprised at the small size but the selection was good. I liked the kids and women's clothing depts, great to see kids clothes and toys in the Village. Big disappointments: more expensive than regular Targets and they didn't honor regular Target circular prices. Also, what's up with $10 EVERY 15 MINUTES over 2 hours??? I made my purchases and caught up with friends in the Starbucks inside and was over my 2 hour limit. Total shock.
