Westwood's Fab Hot Dogs Clears Final Hurdle

The new restaurant says it will announce an opening date soon.

After weeks of delays, it seems the Fab Hot Dogs location in Westwood Village might finally be ready to open soon.

In a recent Facebook post, the eatery said its plans for a new outdoor patio had been approved.

"We have obtained all approvals for our new outdoor patio at our new Westwood Village location and construction is full speed ahead. We will announce an opening date very soon. We are so excited!!"

The restaurant announced in mid-March that it was "sorting through the mountain of specific rules and regulations related to the historical building that we occupy."

A new patio and some signage on the outside of the building needed the Westwood Historical Society's stamp of approval, owner Joe Fabrocini previously told Patch.

Fabrocini said in February that construction at the new restaurant was about halfway done. Major renovations are planned for the location at 920 Broxton Ave.
