1)    Free kids’ meal at Chipotle Mexican Grill

is launching new kids’ meals at its restaurants in Los Angeles and Orange County. To promote the new items, every Saturday and Sunday from April 2 to May 1 the meals, which include a build-your-own taco kit and quesadillas, are free when an adult purchases a meal. Parents can feel good saving money and also about Chipotle’s practice of serving naturally raised meat and organic and local produce.

2)    Free kids workshop before the Geffen Playhouse production of “Prince Rama and the Monkey King”

If you want to expose your kids to theatre and also want them to understand what they’re watching, the Geffen Playhouse is offering a workshop before its production of “Prince Rama and the Monkey King” on April 9. The Santa Barbara troupe Boxtales Theatre Company is putting on the show and workshop. Both incorporate music and movement. Tickets to the show are $15 for adults and $10 for children. The workshop is free, but there are a limited number of workshop tickets so make a reservation ASAP.

4)    Play Wii or hear a story at the Westwood Branch Library

The Westwood branch has many free offerings for kids throughout the year. At 4 p.m. on March 31, teens can hang out and play Wii or board games. Parents of younger kids can take their toddlers to story time at 11 a.m. on April 6.

5)    Dollar Dog night at The Stand

Both the Century City and Westwood Village locations of The Stand celebrate the hot dog with dollar dog night every Monday. Plain hot dogs are $1 and “loaded” dogs are $2.50. To get the deal, diners must be “Stand Card” members, but you can sign up easily when you get there.
