Chick-fil-A Sets Opening Date in Westwood

The restaurant replaces the Burger King on Westwood Boulevard.

Chick-fil-A will officially open its doors June 27 in Westwood, Eater L.A. reported.

The Westwood Village location on Westwood Boulevard was originally projected to open in late May or early June.

The restaurant replaces the Burger King on Westwood Boulevard and has been under construction for months.

Chick-fil-A came under fire last July after its CEO made comments in opposition to gay marriage and it was widely reported that the chain had made contributions to political groups that oppose the legalization of gay marriage.

The chain also has locations in Hollywood, Torrance, Lakewood, Cerritos and at USC.
