Chick-fil-A Plans Spring Opening in Westwood

Do you think the chicken chain is a good fit for Westwood? Tell us in the comments.

Chick-fil-A will officially open its doors in Westwood Village this spring.

The location at 900 Westwood Boulevard will open in late May or early June, according to the chicken chain.

The restaurant replaces the Burger King restaurant on Westwood Boulevard and is currently under construction.

Chick-fil-A came under fire last July after its CEO made comments in opposition to gay marriage and it was widely reported that the chain had made contributions to political groups that oppose the legalization of gay marriage.

The chain also has locations in Hollywood, Torrance, Lakewood, Cerritos and at USC.

Yes, of course! Why not? Their food is delicious. And if you are taking about the company's policies and moral stance, I say leave that up to individuals. If you don't want to eat at Chik-Fil-A, then don't. But be aware that you probably don't like the stance of many businesses that you frequent on a regular basis - they just haven't been made as public as Chik-Fil-A by the mainstream media.

+1 Jan Allen... & very thoughtfully said. Let's leave the morality to consumers and allow them to vote with their dollar. Do you own an Apple iPhone? Child labor violations. Do you buy at Ralphs/Kroger? Fair wage violations. Etc. etc. Now if we could just get a Buffalo Wild Wings in the old Chili's location on Westwood Blvd...

i won't put that nasty filth in my mouth AND i'll be supporting my gay friends and family too....i also believe the circus was a dumb business move on their behalf....proof provided when they had PR people working overtime to back them away from the mess the owner created....

I do not put anything in my mouth that is anti-gay and connected to a Christian hate group. These anti-gay Christians keep pushing their hate and rejection of LGBT people on the people any way they can. The anti-gay Christians and their supporters again post their propaganda here to yank the LGBT people's chain. The LGBT people need to start yanking their chains. God knows they are slaves to the middle class and their false system of belief that does not work and has done nothing but abuse children for thousands of years.
