Century City Happy Hour: SmithHouse Tap & Grill

Across Santa Monica Boulevard from Westfield Century City, this restaurant is the place for beer lovers.

With a former "Top Chef" competitor (Angelo Sosa) and more than 120 beers on tap, already has a crowd one month into existence.

Greatest Dish Ever: The happy hour food is pretty basic, but it does come from a Top Chef, so you can't really go wrong. We loved the beer fondue and extra pretzels (you will want them to wipe clean the skillet of cheese) are only $1 each. Also, did we mention there's a massive beer list? We're missing the green tomato rings and green tomato gazpacho, so we'll keep our fingers crossed they'll return to the menu in the summer.

Don’t Miss: If you're feeling adventurous or indecisive, order one of SmithHouse's beer flights. You'll feel awesome clinking the miniature beer mugs with your co-workers.

The Vibe: Casual but hip sports bar, mostly men. Great for beer snobs, stressful for indecisive drinkers.

Cool Factor: Don't just look at the beer list -- before you order, take a stroll around the bar to see all the taps and consult with the bartenders. If you ask, they may give you a taste and a good recommendation.

Parking: Complimentary valet parking. Approaching from westbound Santa Monica Boulevard, it's a sharp right turn before the restaurant, right before Beverly Glen Boulevard. If you miss it, turn right on Beverly Glen and go down the alley behind the gas station (same if you're heading north on Beverly Glen). Turn right to get back to the local access street and you'll have another shot at the parking garage.

Happy Hour: Served 3-7 p.m. on weekdays. Select domestic drafts (the usual domestic suspects) are $3, select import drafts (the usual import suspects) are $4, and every other beer is a $1 off. Well drinks are $5; $7 for Grey Goose, Bacardi, Cazadores, Oakheart Spiced Rum.
