Barney's Beanery Cooks Up New Menu Options

The restaurant announced several new innovative options to its 'never-changing' Americana fare.

Good news for  regulars. Westwood's venerable roadhouse announced the addition of several items to its 700-item mega menu—all packed with a flavorful punch.

“We still hold to the premise that roadhouse/sports bar food should include baby back pork ribs, great chili, potato skins and a slew of breakfast favorites served at all hours,” said Aldo Lanzillotta, who created the new menu items, in a statement. “But we like to keep it fresh, offering our diners great new flavors to get excited about.”

Additions to the bill of fare include a "tasty" new appetizer—sautéed mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce over toasted French baguette, an individual-sized prosciutto and arugula white pizza, and a chili sampler. The winning recipe of the —a slow-cooked tri-tip black bean chili—also made the menu.

For 91 years, the original legendary diner has been known for its comfort food, 200-plus beer selection, and celebrity clientele.
