Quick, affordable Neapolitan pizzas will be making their way to Westwood when 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria opens in early January.

The restaurant operated by Anthony Carron and the Umami Restaurant group will serve custom pizzas that take one minute to bake in the wood-burning oven. Neapolitan pizzas feature a thin crust made of flour, salt and wild yeast. Carron diverges from the traditional preparation by adding a few secret ingredients to make it more savory.

Dinners can start with a base of Pizza Margarita, $6, Pizza Biaca, $5, or Pizza Marinara, $5, and add on proteins, cheeses and vegetables. Most add-ons cost $1. Guests can also opt for specialty pies such as the Tartufo, $11, with truffle cheese, roasted mushrooms, caramelized garlic and arugula.

“Our goal is to honor the heritage of Old World Italian tradition where the integrity of handcrafted ingredients is paramount,” Carron said in a statement. “We want to offer the best, most authentic Neapolitan pizza in Los Angeles at a great price.”
