Parking Fees Result in Big Payout for Getty Museum

While admission is free, it costs up to $15 to park at the museum.

The Getty Museum earned a hefty chunk of change from parking fees last year, L.A. Observed reported.

Though admission to the Getty is free, the $10 and $15 parking charges added up to $6,451,647 last year, according to the report.

The $6.4-million parking revenue is a jump from the $4,707,447 received in tax year 2009, according to L.A. Observed, which was the same year the Getty increased parking fees to $15.
