Hundreds of 'Gleeks' Heading to Westwood for 'Glee 3D' Premiere

Fans of the TV show will be lining up early Saturday for a chance to see the film and watch the stars arrive on the red carpet at the Regency Village Theater.

Though red carpet coverage of Glee: The 3D Concert Movie will begin Saturday evening, the streets of Westwood Village will look "Gleekier" early in the day.

Hundreds of fans of the award-winning TV show Glee (known as "Gleeks") are expected to turn out early to win tickets to the evening premiere of the film.

Plan for traffic delays if you're heading into Westwood Village on Saturday or consider alternative transportation.

The movie opens Aug. 12.

A Facebook event page says the first 500 fans who dress up like their favorite Glee characters will be entered to win tickets to see the movie. Fans may begin to enter to win the tickets and line up to see the red carpet beginning at 10 a.m.

Information for fans:

  • All fans must visit security at Broxton and Le Conte.
  • Fans will receive a numbered bracelet that will be used for evening raffles and also for access to the red carpet viewing areas.
  • No drugs or alcohol permitted, smoke only in designated areas, one wristband per person.
