Mingus Dynasty

The nimble seven-piece jazz combo Mingus Dynasty has been carrying on the legacy of the most dynamic bandleader, bassist and composer in the history of jazz — Charles Mingus for more than three decades. New generations of musicians continue to interpret and build upon his work, regularly tackling with fiery panache the more than 300 compositions left behind by the prolific jazz great, including “Better Git It in Your Soul,” “Haitian Fight Song” and “Pithecanthropus Erectus.”
