Author Event: Jonathan Lethem

Come to the Hammer Museum for an author event with Jonathan Lethem, who is the New York Times best-selling author of eight novels. His newest volume, The Ecstasy of Influence, is a constellation of provocative previously published pieces and new essays that shed light on an array of topics, from sex in cinema to drugs, graffiti, Bob Dylan, cyberculture, 9/11, book touring, and Marlon Brando, as well as on his literary models and contemporaries.

Complimentary coffee and tea will be served and a book signing will follow the reading. This series of readings is organized by Mona Simpson, author of My Hollywood, Anywhere But Here, and Off Keck Road. Readings are followed by discussions with Simpson.
