Decorated Reindeer Project Benefits Inner-City Art Education

See the acrylic deer at Westfield Century City through Jan. 1.

The Westfield Century City mall and local artists have teamed up for a project that will benefit inner-city art students.

The Reindeer Project features 11 life-size, acrylic deer that started out as blank, white statues and have been transformed into pieces of art. The reindeer are being auctioned to benefit Inner-City Arts, a non-profit arts education organization dedicated to bringing art instruction back to public schools.

According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, four deer have been sold, but the others can be bid on through Dec. 10. Bids are being taken via CharityBuzz.com.
