Sinai Temple Plans Dreidel Spinning Guinness Record Attempt

Organizers at the temple are trying to break the world record for the most dreidels spinning at once.

Sinai Temple is hoping more than 541 skilled dreidel spinners will show up Sunday morning for an attempt at the world record for the most dreidels spinning at one time.

Lawyers representing Guinness World Records will be present at the event to verify that the dreidels spin simultaneously for at least ten seconds, according to event organizers.

Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill, N.J., set the current record in December 2005.

Besides the dreidel spinning, "Dreidel-mania" will feature kosher food trucks, music, photo booths and other family friendly activities. Registration for the event is from 10:30-11:15 a.m. and dreidels will be provided.

"Sinai Temple is so excited to not only attempt to break this world record, but to bring the community together around the holidays," said Danielle Kassin, director of the Sinai Temple Religious School.
