Century City to Host 'Justice Jog' 5K Sunday

The Justice Jog will benefit children in Los Angeles County's foster care system.

The sixth-annual Justice Jog 5K run and walk will take to the streets of Century City Sunday to benefit abused and neglected children in the foster care system of Los Angeles County.

Organized by the Greater Los Angeles Association of Legal Administrators (GLA ALA), the 5K run will begin at the intersection of Avenue of the Stars and Santa Monica Boulevard.

All proceeds from the event will help the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Los Angeles (CASA), which help children in Los Angeles' foster care system.

“This is the third consecutive year that GLA ALA and CASA have partnered together for the Justice Jog, bridging the legal community with an amazing  program in our community,” said GLA ALA Justice Jog Committee Chair Ken Sweet. “Raising money and awareness for CASA/LA through this event has been very worthwhile and  fulfilling for our Chapter. We are excited to join again in this year’s Justice Jog, and encourage everyone to participate.”

Last year' Justice Jog event raised more than $43,000 and drew a turnout of 750 runners and walkers, organizers said.

Sunday's event begins at 7 a.m. and runs until 10:30 a.m. with the entire run taking place on the streets of Century City.

Registration for the event is $40 for individual runners and includes a t-shirt and breakfast. Runners can register on the Justice Jog's website
