Volunteers Make Westwood Village Shine!

Hundreds of volunteers gathered in Westwood Village Sunday morning for the second annual Westwood Organized Mega Project. Volunteers planted trees, painted murals and restored street curbs and village bike racks.

A huge gathering of UCLA students, faculty and Westwood neighbors volunteered their time Sunday for the second annual Westwood Organized Mega project.

Volunteers spent the day planting new trees throughout the village. They also painted more than two dozen murals that will be placed in the front windows of vacant stores.

Organizers say Sunday's poject is simply a way for UCLA students to meet their neighbors while helping to maintain the beauty of Westwood Village.
