Meet Westwood-Century City Patch Editor at WOMP

Volunteers clean up Westwood Village and the North Village on Saturday for this year's Westwood Organized Mega Project.

Even neighborhoods get the spring cleaning bug this time of year.

Starting at 8 a.m., hundreds of local and student volunteers descended on Westwood Village and the North Village for its annual clean-up. Sidewalks were being repainted, lamp posts got a fresh coat of "Westwood Blue," and furniture and stray posters disappeared from the streets.

The Westwood Organized Mega Project is a collaboration between the UCLA Volunteer Center, the Westwood Community Council, several other local organizations and the business community.
