Dog Freed From Westfield Century City Escalator

Paramedics use hand tools to free a dog trapped in a shopping mall escalator Monday night.

A dog trapped in a escalator was freed Monday night by paramedics.

The dog's foot was trapped at the top of the escalator leading to the food court.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics used hand tools to free the dog, then bandaged its "minor wound."

Paramedics suggested further veterinary care, the department's Brian Humphrey said. Paramedics were sent to the shopping center at 8:19 p.m., Humphrey said.
