UPDATED: 6 Arrested at 'Occupy' Protest in Century City

Police arrest six demonstrators targeting Deutsche Bank offices on the Avenue of the Stars.

Six "Occupy" demonstrators were arrested Tuesday in Century City for failing to disperse and trying to block traffic in front of Deutsche Bank offices on the Avenue of the Stars.

The demonstrators targeted Deutsche Bank offices because they said the global institution was illegally foreclosing on U.S. homes.

Los Angeles police declared an illegal assembly after some activists put up yellow tape across the Avenue of the Stars at Constellation Boulevard, stopping traffic, and several people started "chalking" messages on the pavement. The arrests were made about 3:20 p.m., Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden said.

About 30 people were involved in the demonstration, and most left when ordered to, she said. The names of those arrested and their booking charges were not immediately available.

Video of the demonstration showed some activists sitting on the street, while others chanted, "Hey-hey, ho-ho, Deutsche Bank has got to go."

Earlier, local activists with the "Occupy" movement demonstrated against Deutsche Bank practices in front of the German consulate and also staged a protest in front of a Deutsche Bank branch in La Crescenta-Flintridge.
